We would like to start by wishing you all a stunning year full of love, joy and peace.

It is easy to write from a place of thanksgiving, seeing how faithful God has been to bring things together for us this past year.

We have had a busy year. Naomi’s Joy has found traction and is launching off well.

We have big dreams and have only just begun to walk into them.

We started the year with two care families, the Bullocks who already had a private arrangement with a homeless mother to care for her little one. He is one now, and such a little blessing. He is now legally being fostered by them. Our second family, the Stephensons, baby came in October, He is now three months old. His adoption paperwork is in process. This little guy has been such a joy to his first family and we know he will be this to his forever family as well.

We started the year not knowing where our babies would come from and trying to fathom how it all looked legally. God has been amazing in linking us with Child Welfare and they are helping us by screening our families and with training. Thank you Rhoda and Charmaine. This is a massive blessing for us.

We have two new care families joining us soon, the Burgess family and the Retief family, we are looking forward to them being an active part of the Naomi’s Joy family.
We are working on our personal clothing range, with Chelsey , and labels, and the other creative fundraising ideas we have.

Our shop and resource centre, that we have been dreaming of, pursuing and working towards is fast becoming a reality. We take occupation on the 1 January. We would love you all to visit us there in the new year. 4A Parrot Place, Recreation Rd, Fish Hoek. We plan to sell childrens clothes and childrens related goods, seconds and first hand to raise funds to support our work. We do needs funds to get this all up and running so it can become an income stream for us, as well as donations of baby and kiddies goods. Thank you for all the donations we have already received, we are overwhelmed by your generosity. We are very excited about this vision becoming a reality. We plan have a prayer and dedication time on Sunday evening the 10th and to open our doors on the 11th of Jan, then have a grand opening on the evening of the 15th. If you have a heart to volunteer i our shop please come and chat to us.

Financially we are lean in the bank. In our hearts we are rich and full of drive towards seeing these babies and the families who embrace them well taken care of on every level.

We have a lovely social worker, Scotty, who has volunteered her time, who will make sure all is well body, soul and spirit with our babies and families.

We have also become a part of Connect Network, a support organisation to NPO’s and NGOs and helping them to connect and support each other. All working with vulnerable children and women.
