Hi All
Greetings to you all. Well another term is done and it has been a fruitful one indeed.
We have been at full capacity baby wise.
After Ariella, another baby Luke arrived at 4 days old and by 9 weeks he headed to his forever family. Then baby Michael arrived and baby Zuki, so at the moment we have full homes. Our other Luke’s adoption is still in process.
We were blessed to share at Kommetjie Christian Church and had one family respond to be a care family, they have just begun the big paperwork marathon to be screened as a temporary safe care family.
The need is huge and the workers are few. Our one family is unable to have a baby at the moment due to financial restraints. One family has two babies, and our single mom has just got her first baby, and possibly her last, as she may be moving out the area. Please keep our need for care families on your prayer list.
We have completed our Quality Standards training in finance and design and planning. These were informative and good yard sticks for us in terms of where we are and where we want to be.
The shop has been a huge blessing to us, not only in terms of resources for our families, but it also provides ministry oppertunities for our volunteers. The community frequently blesses us with donations, and, even though sales figures have been a little down, we are still managing to subsidise our babies and keep our organisation afloat.
I guess it is fair to say we are blessed out of our booties. Till next time.
Blessings
Jane for Team Joy
