March 2025 Update

Greetings to our friends and supporters.

As the first quarter of 2025 draws to a close we are so grateful to the Lord for His faithfulness and provision thus far.  On 6 February 2025 we celebrated our 10th anniversary!  After 10 years we are able to testify to Him who has allowed 54 babies to pass through our doors and hearts.  Apart from the 9 babies who we currently have in care, we have seen around 30 adoptions, 11 have been placed in long term foster care, and 4 babies have been reunified.  All of the babies have transitioned well into their new families.

We have been able to provide resources for the babies’ care as well as support to 12 families, as we have journeyed with them as they have taken care of these precious little ones.  We have seen God’s hand in taking care of every need, often miraculously.  One story I remember was that someone gave me (Renee) a bag of donations at the High tea event.  I can’t even remember who gave it to me, but in the bag was a tin of special (and expensive) formula.  The very next week one of our babies was sick and the doctor recommended that exact formula. Another huge blessing was being selected as the recipient of the Star Baby competition last year.  We also thank the Lord each month for a local businessman who faithfully puts a sum of money into our bank account.

On 15 March we held our annual fundraiser – a Paint and Sip at Clovelly Country Club.  The event went well with many ladies requesting that we do it again soon.  We had some amazing raffle prizes, including a 2 night stay at the lovely African Violet Guest Suites, A trip on the Ceres Rail, an art class for 6 from LoveArt, some Beacon and Armour backpacks, Crochet blankets, nails and spa vouchers and more!  The lucky winners were announced on the day.  Unfortunately we didn’t make as much money as we hoped, but we had a great time and let the community know that we are still here.

Thanks to all those who donated prizes, all those who helped with the event, including Team Joy for all the help setting up and taking down, and to the photographer, Ryan Gordon.  Thanks to all who came and supported us, and all who bought raffle tickets.

Bless you all!
